Visiting the website

The server processes connection data: the requested address, IP address, time and browser information transmitted with the request. This serves to deliver the website and resolve errors. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is a secure, reliable website.

The published website is hosted by Vercel. Vercel processes technical connection data and operational logs to deliver and secure the service. Its infrastructure is international, and processing outside the European Economic Area may occur. The application does not maintain a separate persistent visitor or IP log.

Writing to me

Your name, email address and message initially stay in your browser’s memory as a draft. Leaving the contact page or reloading clears it. “Copy message” writes it to your device’s clipboard at your request. “Open in email app” hands it to your email application. The website does not send the message or store it on the server.

Only when you send the email yourself do I receive the sender address, content and contact details you provide. I use them to handle your enquiry under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual matters, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for other messages, with the legitimate interest of answering enquiries.

Recipients are the email providers involved, including WEB.DE (1&1 Mail & Media GmbH, Germany) for my mailbox, and me. Messages are deleted once no longer needed to handle the enquiry. Information subject to statutory retention duties or needed for legal claims is retained for the applicable period.

Sending a message is voluntary. Without the details needed to reply, I may be unable to handle your enquiry.

Images, fonts and GitHub

Images and fonts are served with this website. The server retrieves and caches my public GitHub contribution calendar. Your browser does not connect to GitHub for this feature; visitor IP addresses and form data are not forwarded with that request.

Opening an external link connects your browser to that provider. Its privacy notice then applies, and processing outside the European Economic Area may take place.

Cookies and analytics

This application sets no cookies and uses no persistent browser storage. There are no advertising trackers, audience analytics, automated decisions or profiling. Language and game states last only until you reload.
