Maple Roll
Privacy

Scope and controller
This privacy notice applies to Maple Roll, the offline marble maze for Apple Watch, version 1.0. The controller is Ismail Günay. My email address appears above; the full contact address is in the legal notice linked in the footer. It covers the game and enquiries about Maple Roll.
The essentials
Maple Roll requires no account. It contains no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs, in-app purchases or developer-operated server. The app does not transmit the game data described below to me or to services integrated by me. “Data Not Collected” on the App Store means the app does not transmit data to the developer; data is still processed on your Watch to run the game.
Motion controls
During active play, Maple Roll uses Apple’s Core Motion to process the Watch’s tilt or gravity direction to steer the marble and calibrate its neutral position. Current motion readings are processed temporarily in memory. They are not stored as a motion profile or transmitted to me. The app does not access location, HealthKit, contacts, photos or the microphone.
This processing provides the game function you requested. Where personal data is involved, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. You can change any access permission required by the operating system in its privacy settings. Tilt controls cannot function without available motion input.
Local progress and preferences
The app stores unlocked levels, best times and the resulting progress on your Watch, along with sensitivity, haptic, ghost-display and tutorial preferences. A ghost replay stores marble positions and timestamps from a saved run locally. These are game records, not a recording of your physical movements.
This enables progress, preferences and replays. Where applicable, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Storage of and access to information necessary for the game function expressly requested by you is based on section 25(2), no. 2 of Germany’s TDDDG.
Data remains locally until you change it, reset it or delete the app together with its data. New best runs may replace older ghosts. “Reset Progress” in Settings clears best performances and ghost runs and resets progression; it does not reset every preference. Apple operating-system backups and restores may contain copies, which you manage through Apple’s device and backup settings. I cannot access your local progress.
App Store, purchases, backups and diagnostics
Apple handles downloads, payments and any refunds under its applicable terms. Maple Roll itself does not process payment details or receive your Apple ID, card number or bank details. Independently of the app, Apple may process information to provide the App Store, backups and, depending on your system settings, diagnostics.
Apple may provide developers with financial reports, aggregate usage statistics and shared crash diagnostics. This is separate from an analytics feature within the game. Where such records contain personal data, my use relies on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR for statutory record-keeping and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for troubleshooting and secure operation. I retain such information only as long as needed for those purposes or legal obligations. Apple explains its own processing, recipients, retention and possible international transfers in its privacy policy.
Contacting support
You can contact me at the email address above. I process your sender address, message and any information you voluntarily include solely to handle your enquiry and necessary follow-up. Please do not send passwords, payment details or unnecessary personal information.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual enquiries, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries; my legitimate interest is responding to your message. Recipients are me and the email providers involved in delivery, including WEB.DE (1&1 Mail & Media GmbH, Germany) for my mailbox. Messages are deleted once the enquiry has been resolved and they are no longer needed. Statutory retention duties or the necessary establishment or defence of legal claims may require longer retention.
Your rights
Subject to applicable legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability under Articles 15–20 GDPR. You may complain to a supervisory authority, particularly in the place of your habitual residence, work or an alleged infringement (Article 77 GDPR). Please use the email above to exercise your rights. For information stored only on your Watch, use the local deletion controls described above.
You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21 GDPR). Such processing will stop unless overriding compelling legitimate grounds or necessary legal claims justify continuing it. Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent for the future. Maple Roll does not perform profiling or automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects.
Changes
This notice will be updated when the app or the processes described here change. The date above identifies the current revision. Any future feature involving different data processing will be described here before it is introduced.
